Common Questions to Matcha

What is matcha?

Matcha is finely ground green tea powder from Japan. Since you drink the whole leaf, you get more flavor, nutrients, and energy than regular tea. We serve ceremonial grade — the highest quality, with a smooth texture, vibrant color, and naturally balanced flavor.

How is matcha made?

Tea leaves are shade-grown, then hand-picked, steamed, and stone-milled into a fine powder. This careful process is what gives matcha its bright color and smooth flavor — unlike regular tea, where the leaves are just steeped and discarded.

How should I store matcha?

Keep it sealed, cool, and away from light — matcha is sensitive to air, heat  light and moisture. Once opened, store in the fridge and use within a few weeks for the best flavor and color.

What is ceremonial matcha?

Ceremonial grade matcha is the finest quality matcha, traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Made from carefully selected young leaves, it offers a smooth, creamy taste with a rich green color and minimal bitterness.

Why our matcha?

Our matcha is naturally balanced, slightly sweet, and made for drinking — giving you clean, steady energy without the crash. Inspired by Uji, Kyoto, the birthplace of matcha, every drink we make is smooth, balanced, and crafted to be enjoyed any time of day.

Does matcha have more caffeine than coffee?

Matcha has less caffeine than coffee, but releases it more slowly thanks to

L-theanine — giving you steady, calm energy instead of a quick spike and crash.
